NCZ038 Current watches, warnings, and advisories for Davidson (NCZ038) NC Special Weather Statement issued March 22 at 2:15PM EDT by NWS Raleigh NC The combination of dry fine fuels, relative humidities around 25to 30 percent, northerly wind gusts around 20 to 25 mph, and warmtemperatures will lead to an increased risk for the rapid spreadof wildfires on Monday across the Piedmont and Sandhills ofcentral North Carolina.Residents and visitors are urged to properly dispose of cigarettebutts, matches, and any other flammable items in appropriatecontainers. Additionally, exercise caution if operating anyequipment that could create sparks and keep vehicles off of drygrass. Most dry grasses, dead leaves, and other tree litter couldeasily ignite and spread fire quickly.Lastly, remember to obey local burn bans.
